Family Promise of Respect

1. Respect Rocks - I will have respect for myself - mind and body, because I know self-respect is the foundation from which all other forms of respect evolve.
2. Respect Rocks - I will have respect for all family members - listen to others' opinions, avoid hurtful criticism, validate others' feelings, forgive unkind words respect individual differences, because I know this creates a home of Mutual Respect.
3. Respect Rocks - I will be authentic and genuine in all that I say and do, because I know that keeping the promises I make validates my credibility, and strengthens the belief I have in myself.
4. Respect Rocks - I will have respect for my home, share in chores, keep common areas clean, respect house rules, because our home is where I learn what matters most, and I am grateful to be part of this family.
5. Respect Rocks - I will embrace our beliefs, values and traditions, and participate together in family activities, because I know that spending quality time with each other is how we grow personally, and collectively, as a family.
6. Respect Rocks - I will have respect for the dollar and make purchase choices that are sensible because I know that Proper money management, responsible saving and teaching fiscal responsibility are benefits that last a lifetime.
7. Respect Rocks - I will help my neighbors whenever possible, because I know that being considerate and cooperating respectfully with others broadens my world and can make everyone's life easier.
8. Respect Rocks - I will have respect for all of nature, animals and our environment because living green is everyone's responsibility and what we must all do to help our planet survive.
